Hi, I am doing a PhD project at Swansea University, and am looking for people to interview about how their ADHD might positively or negatively affect their work.
Who am I looking for?
People with:
· ADHD Diagnosis
· Minimum 30 years of age
· Works with other people
· Labour level: Skilled/Professional
What will it involve?
1) You will be sent:
· An information sheet to read through
· A consent form to sign
· A list of reported ADHD benefits to think about
2) You will be invited to a single 60-90 minute remote interview to discuss the list of benefits, and whether you have any examples of them from your working life.
3) After analysis, you will be given my interpretation of your interview, and can feedback or make changes.
What is the study for?
I am hoping to demonstrate to the business world, that people with ADHD may have some strengths companies are unaware of, and that current processes which are based on neuronormative standards could be restricting those strengths.
What benefits are there?
There is no payment for involvement, and no direct benefit for participation. There is a benefit in that you may well be helping to pave the way for positive changes to working environments for people with ADHD in the future.
